ONLINE EMDR INTENSIVES IN CALIFORNIA

You've done the work. So why does your body still feel like it's bracing?

Multi-day EMDR intensives that work with your nervous system, not against it. Online, across California, designed for women carrying attachment trauma.

Insight isn't integration. The body knows the difference.

You can name every pattern. The patterns still won't let you go.

You can name your attachment style. You know what your mother did and didn't do. You've sat across from more than one therapist and made real progress, the kind that other people can see.

And still. The chest tightness when your phone buzzes. The replay of conversations at 2 a.m. The exhaustion that doesn't lift on weekends. The quiet shame that you, of all people, can't seem to make this stop.

If you've started to wonder whether you're the problem, you're not. You're a woman whose nervous system learned, a long time ago, that the only safe option was to hold everything together. That worked. Until it stopped.

This is the gap weekly therapy often can't close: the distance between what you understand and what your body still feels. Online EMDR therapy intensives are built to close it.

A DIFFERENT SHAPE OF WORK

Why an intensive, not another weekly therapist

The 50-minute weekly session is the default in American mental health care. Insurance pays for it. Most therapists are trained around it. For some kinds of healing, it works.

For attachment trauma, it's the wrong size.

WEEKLY THERAPY

Sessions open painful material that has to be closed before you walk back into your life an hour later.

Progress depends on momentum that resets every seven days.

Clinical processing and integration happen in the same fifty minutes, which means neither gets enough time.

For complex attachment work, you can spend years circling the same patterns without the sustained focus needed to move through them.

AN INTENSIVE

Multi-hour sessions let you stay in the work long enough for your nervous system to actually process and integrate.

A structured arc (preparation, processing, integration) builds the container the work needs.

Clinical processing and integration get their own dedicated time, so neither is rushed.

Most clients complete in weeks what would take 12 to 18 months of weekly therapy.

The work you've done wasn't wasted. It was the wrong container for what you're carrying.

THE MODEL, IN PLAN LANGUAGE

What an EMDR intensive actually is

An EMDR intensive is structured, multi-day trauma processing using Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing therapy. Instead of one 50-minute session per week, you do the work in concentrated multi-hour blocks across a few consecutive days.

The model was developed for clients carrying complex or attachment-rooted trauma, the kind of material that needs sustained time and a held container to actually move.

Every intensive I run moves through three deliberate phases.

01

PHASE ONE

Preparation

Targeted assessment, history-taking, and nervous system grounding before any processing begins. We map the patterns and prepare your body for the work.

02

PHASE TWO

Deep processing

Sustained EMDR work over multi-hour sessions. Enough time for the body to actually move through what it's been holding.

03

PHASE THREE

Integration

Structured follow-through after the intensive so what shifted stays shifted. The work is built to hold, not just to feel different for a week.

THIS WORK IS FOR YOU IF

  • You've done years of therapy. You're glad you did. But you're not where you thought you'd be by now.

  • You're the strong one in your family, your friendships, your career. You don't know how to stop being that person, even when no one is asking you to.

  • Your childhood "wasn't that bad," and yet something about how you were loved or not loved left you with a body that doesn't know how to rest.

  • You can regulate other people's emotions with your eyes closed and have no idea what you actually feel.

  • You've started to suspect that the part of you that's so capable is also the part that's keeping you stuck.

If any of that lands, you're in the right place.

WHERE THE WORK MEETS YOUR SPECIFIC PATTERNS

What I help women work through

Attachment trauma doesn't show up the same way in every woman. These are the specific patterns I see most often in intensives, and the doors most clients walk through.

  • Anxiety that won't quiet down

The persistent low-grade alarm that doesn't match what's happening in your actual life. The chest tightness, the racing thoughts, the inability to land in your own body.

  • The cost of being the strong one

Hyper-independence, over-functioning, the inability to ask for help or to rest. The exhaustion of being the person everyone counts on, including yourself.

  • When you're still stuck after years of therapy

You understand your patterns. You can map your childhood onto your reactions in real time. And the patterns still won't move.

  • Childhood that looked fine from the outside

Emotional neglect, attachment wounds in families that didn't look broken. The trauma that's hard to name because it didn't look like the obvious kind.

  • People-pleasing and the lost self

The dissolution of your own preferences, needs, and feelings underneath layers of accommodating other people. The slow disappearance of you.

THE WORK

Online EMDR therapy intensives for women who can do anything except rest

You don't need more insight. You have insight. You need your nervous system to catch up to what you already know.

An EMDR intensive is a structured, multi-hour container that lets your brain and body actually move through what they've been holding. Instead of opening something painful on Tuesday and carrying it alone until next week, you stay in the work long enough for it to integrate.

I work entirely online, using a structured virtual EMDR platform clinically validated for trauma work. You don't have to live near my office. You don't have to fit your healing into a 50-minute slot.

MEET YOUR THERAPIST

Hi, I'm Olivia

I'm Olivia Lavelle, LCSW. I'm an EMDR-trained therapist specializing in online intensives for women healing attachment trauma and complex relational patterns.

I work with women who are tired of being misunderstood by therapists who weren't trained for the depth of what they're carrying. Women who've been told they're "too sensitive," "too much," or "doing fine," when none of that matches what's happening inside them.

You don't have to explain why you shut down, stay busy, or struggle to soften. I already understand the function.

COMMON QUESTIONS

What women ask before booking an EMDR intensive

Is online EMDR as effective as in-person?

Yes. Research on virtual EMDR shows comparable outcomes to in-person work when delivered by a trained clinician using a clinically validated platform. For many women, doing this work from their own space supports the nervous system rather than competing with it.

I've done EMDR before. Why would this be different?

The most common reason EMDR doesn't fully work is that the container wasn't right for the level of attachment trauma the person was carrying. Weekly EMDR can interrupt the very momentum complex attachment work requires.

How do I know if I have attachment trauma?

Attachment trauma doesn't always look like the obvious kind. It can show up as chronic hyper-independence, difficulty resting, perfectionism, people-pleasing, or the inability to feel safe in close relationships even when nothing is wrong.

Do I have to live in California?

You have to be physically located in California during our sessions. I'm licensed in California, which means I can work with anyone present in the state, even if you live elsewhere most of the time.

THE NEXT SMALL STEP

A twenty-minute call. We map your next step together.

If you've been carrying this for a long time, a twenty-minute conversation isn't a big ask. Most women tell me after that they wish they'd done it sooner.
