EMDR Therapy Intensives in Santa Monica, California
You’ve tried weekly therapy, gained insight but still feel stuck in the same patterns.
I offer EMDR Therapy Intensives across California for women who are tired of overthinking, emotionally burnt out, and feeling like their body won’t relax.
Does This Sound Familiar?
You might notice that you…
Replay conversations
Feel responsible for how other people feel
Don’t even know what you need
Put other people’s needs first and ignored your own
Stay busy or keep doing… because slowing down feels uncomfortable or unfamiliar
Look calm, but your body experiences tight chest, jaw, or shoulders
You’re mind won’t turn off, especially at night
What you’re experiencing isn’t a lack of effort.
It’s that your mind understands…
but your body is still holding onto what it learned.
This Didn’t Start in Adulthood.
For many high-achieving people, these patterns formed early.
A lot of the patterns you’re noticing now are overthinking, staying on edge, feeling responsible for everything, which didn’t come out of nowhere.
They were learned. Maybe you were the one who had to keep it together. Maybe emotions weren’t really talked about, or they were dismissed. Maybe it felt easier to stay low-maintenance than to need too much. So you adapted by becoming the strong one, reliable one or the one who figured things out. And it worked… for a while.
But now, even when life looks okay, your body doesn’t fully relax, your mind keeps going and it’s exhausting. Not because something is wrong with you, but because your system is still responding to what it learned back then. And the good news is this: what was learned can be updated. You may not call this trauma. You might call it being driven, sensitive, or anxious. But your body knows the difference.
Why EMDR Therapy Intensives Offer a Different Rhythm
EMDR Therapy Intensives don’t just give you more time.
Weekly therapy can be helpful. It gives you space to talk, reflect, and begin to understand your patterns. But for many of the women I work with, there’s a point where it starts to feel frustrating.
You open something important and then the session ends. You spend the week trying to apply the coping strategies or suggestions that were offered and still notice that the same thoughts, reactions, or feelings keep showing up. Then you come back and try to pick it up again. It can start to feel like you’re making progress mentally, but not actually feeling different. Not because you’re doing anything wrong. But because your system hasn’t had the time or space to fully process what’s coming up.
EMDR intensives change that.
Instead of starting and stopping, we stay with the work long enough for your brain and body to actually move through it, so you’re not just talking about your experiences, you’re processing them. This is where things begin to shift an you start to notice less overthinking, less emotional pressure and more calm in your body.

I didn’t start my practice because I believed people needed more coping skills. I started this work because I kept seeing the same pattern…people who were insightful, self-aware, and doing everything they were “supposed” to do in therapy, but still felt stuck. They could set boundaries, communicate, and understand their patterns, yet underneath all of that, their body was still holding onto something that hadn’t been fully processed.
That’s what led me to EMDR intensives. I wanted to move away from surface-level work managing symptoms, adjusting behaviors, and just getting through—and instead create a space where we could actually get to the root. A space where we could understand where these patterns started, why they keep showing up, and how they continue to reappear in different ways, even when you’re trying to do everything right.
My work is focused on helping you process what’s at the root so you’re not just managing your life better, but actually experiencing it differently. If you’ve ever found yourself thinking, “Why do I still feel this way even though I understand it?” you’re not doing anything wrong. It simply means your mind has insight, but your body hasn’t had the opportunity to fully process what it’s been holding—and that’s where this work begins.
WHAT WE’LL WORK ON

EMDR Therapy Intensives help you move beyond understanding your patterns and begin to actually feel different. EMDR Therapy Intensives supports your brain and body in processing what’s still being held, so it no longer shows up the same way.
You may notice:
Your mind feels quieter, especially at night
Your body is less tense and more settled
You’re less reactive in relationships
You don’t feel responsible for everything and everyone

This isn’t about trying harder. It’s about your nervous system no longer holding onto what it had to in the past.

I do not accept insurance directly.Because my practice focuses on longer EMDR sessions and intensives, working outside of insurance allows us to structure treatment in a way that prioritizes depth and flexibility rather than insurance limitations.
However, I can provide a superbill upon request, which you may submit to your insurance company for possible out-of-network reimbursement, depending on your plan.
I also offer CareCredit, a healthcare financing option that allows clients to break the cost of treatment into manageable monthly payments.
If you have questions about payment options, we can discuss what feels most supportive during your consultation.
